Our Silk Bedding Is Easy to Care For
This may come as a surprise, but our luxurious silk bedding can be washed in your machine right at home! We recommend using a detergent made for silk like Heritage Park Silk and Wool Detergent. This concentrated, pH neutral formula will effectively clean your silk sheets without causing damage to the fabric. Washing your silk sheets is easy:
- Turn your silk pillowcases inside out, and place sheets and pillowcases in fine mesh laundry bags to protect them in the wash.
- Use a delicate or silk cycle and cool water.
- Don’t overload your machine and use the proper amount of detergent.
- Never wring your silk while taking it out of the washer; blot on a clean towel if it is still damp.
- Skip the dryer. Hang your silk to dry outside or indoors (better for winter temps) away from direct sunlight.
In our experience, there is little need to iron silk sheets. They will wrinkle; however, the wrinkles will release in a day or two once they are on your bed.
