Every entrepreneur is something of a dreamer. Like so many great enterprises, Mulberry Park Silks also began with a dream. Or, more accurately, a dream interrupted: our founder woke up, night after night, hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable on her pillowcase.

Desperate for a better night's sleep, she knew it was time for a change. As a luxury linen expert, she understood that pillowcases varied dramatically in quality, so she began testing different weights and weaves in search of cooler, more comfortable rest. Despite trying increasingly luxurious cotton pillowcases, nothing seemed to help. Her restless nights continued, and a solution remained elusive.

Her search led her to mulberry silk, and with her first silk pillowcase, she finally discovered the secret to restful sleep. Unlike cotton's plant-based fibers, silk is a protein-based fabric from the bombyx mori silkworm's cocoon. These remarkable creatures, nourished exclusively on mulberry leaves, produce what's recognized as the world's finest silk -characterized by exceptionally long, strong, and uniform silk fiber. Mulberry silk's natural properties provide unmatched temperature regulation and breathability, while its moisture-wicking abilities ensure comfort in any climate. At last, she had found the perfect solution for a peaceful night's rest.

Bringing High-Quality, Affordable Silk to Market

There was only one catch: the price. High-quality silk charmeuse weave pillowcases cost as much as $150, making them unaffordable to most. She knew she could do better, and so made it her mission to bring high-quality silk to market at a fair price. She spent the next several years scouring the globe to source the perfect pillowcase. She was uncompromising in her vision: high quality, superior craftsmanship, the best value. From that commitment, Mulberry Park Silks was born. We introduced our first silk pillowcase to the marketplace in 2014.

Expanding our Product Lines to Meet Demand

In response to client demand, our bedding collection has expanded to include our popular silk sheets and pillowcases in dozens of colors, three distinct momme weights, and multiple sizes from Twin XL to Cal King. We offer silk sheets to accommodate any bed in your home (including crib size!) and introduce stylish new color choices seasonally. You can purchase a sheet set that contains a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and one or two pillowcases, or buy these items individually. We sell a duvet cover that can be used with a sheet set or on its own over silk-fitted sheets. You'll also find a complete collection of bedding essentials such as pillows, down and alternative fiber duvet inserts, and silk blankets.

Our accessory collection continues to grow. It includes pure silk robes, sleep masks, glam bands, scrunchies, headbands, head scarves, and bonnets. Our website shares detailed information on all of these products as well as helpful interactive buying guides. We even offer specialty detergent and laundry accessories to safely and easily launder your silk sheets at home.

At Mulberry Park Silks, we've earned clients' trust by providing transparency about the quality and pricing of our silk sheets, silk bedding, and accessories. We begin with the assurance that we use only 100 percent genuine mulberry silk of the highest grade (6A) in our products. Although silk is naturally hypoallergenic, we've taken the extra step of having our silk independently certified as STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This means that all of our products and their components have been tested as safe from a list of more than 400 harmful substances.

As a team, we prioritize educating our clients and the public on how to understand silk quality and pricing, with a special focus on differentiating real silk from synthetic fiber. With the growing popularity of silk, satin sheets are often misrepresented as real silk. The truth is that satin material is made from synthetic materials that merely imitate silk's comfort and softness. Only genuine silk, which is made from natural fiber, provides the singular beauty and wellness benefits; protection for sensitive skin; and the luxurious feel you expect.

Finally, we are luxury bedding experts. Mulberry Park Silks is a sister company to Fine Linen and Bath, a leading luxury bedding retailer. We are a small business owned by Tom Ceconi, a successful technology entrepreneur who grew up in his parents' linen store in Valhalla, NY. Tom is proud to build on their legacy today.
